Holiday Beers Bring Holiday Cheer(s)!
'Tis the season for Penn's holiday beers! Stock up on Penn's Nut Roll Ale, St. Nikolaus Bock, and St. Nikolaus Bock Brewer's Reserve.

Penn Nut Roll Ale
Freshly-baked nut rolls are a holiday staple - and we’ve transformed this sweet treat into a beer!  This spiced nut brown ale is brewed with multiple malts and Perle and Willamette hops, and is spiced with vanilla and cinnamon. Nut Roll Ale will warm you with 5% ABV and 20 IBUs.  Available beginning the first week in November on draft and in 6- and 12-packs of 12 oz. bottles.

Penn St. Nikolaus Bock and St.Nikolaus Bock Brewer's Reserve
It’s just not a holiday celebration without St. Nick! This longtime favorite bock-style beer is strong, malty, and features notes of chocolate and roasted malts. This beautiful, red-hued brew is made with six different malt varieties and Perle hops.  Our “lower octane” St. Nick clocks in with 6.5% ABV and 25 IBUs and is available as of the first week in November on draft and in 6- and 12-packs of 12 oz. bottles. St. Nick Brewer's Reserve, a Great American Beer Festival® silver medalist, takes it to the next level with 9% ABV and 25 IBUs. Get it beginning in December on draft or in 22 oz. bottles in a regal red velvet bag perfect for gifting!

Specialty Brews

Feeling a little non-traditional this holiday season?  We’ve got beers for that, too! Our brewers currently have a coffee porter, 6 Demon Frenzy Coffee Porter, in the tanks of our small batch system. Frenzy is conditioned on Dark Sumatra coffee, specially roasted from our friends at Black Forge coffee.  With 5.5% ABV and 34 IBUs, this brew has notes of dark chocolate, malt, and roast, along with coffee, of course! Look for it at all three Penn locations in early November.

The brew crew also plans to make a Grodziskie-style smoked beer.  This style, originally from Poland, will be brewed with oak-smoked wheat.  We’re still working on a clever name for this one, but we can tell you that this bubbly, highly-carbonated beer will clock in with an approximate ABV of 3.1% and 31 IBUs.  Look for this smokin’ brew on draft at all Penn Brewery locations at the end of November.

Finally, one of our fall favorites, Penn Harvest Rye IPA, will be available on draft in early November.  Harvest Rye is citrus-forward, with notes of grapefruit, pine, fresh bread, and a spicy backbone from the rye malt.  This full-bodied IPA has a dry finish, 8.4% ABV, and 55 IBUs.

Delish New Lunch Dishes!
There’s lots to love for lunch at Penn’s North Side location!  We’ve added some hefty new sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads, along with combo lunches pairing your choice of soup & salad, soup & sandwich, or sandwich & salad.  Here’s a sampling of our new lunch additions:

 • Grilled Ham and Brie with Granny Smith apple and apple cranberry mostarda on Breadworks wheat bread
• Asiago Chicken Salad with pulled chicken and Asiago cheese, Dijon mustard, and lemon aioli. Served with lettuce, tomato and red onion on Breadworks six grain bread

• Beer Brat Flatbread with Dusseldorf mustard, sauerkraut, caramelized onions, applesauce, grilled  Penn Pilsner bratwurst, and Swiss and muenster cheese blend

• Butternut & Kale Pesto Vegetarian Flatbread - Honey roasted butternut squash, cranberry & kale pesto, and roasted garlic ricotta with balsamic drizzle.
